Devil begged Jack to let him go and promised not to tempt him the whole year. Then the Devil was released. Jack died the next year in Halloween. Paradise hasn’t accepted Jack for he’s not being good enough, and the hell hasn’t accepted him for the promise the Devil made. The road was too dark and Jack had nowhere to go. The Devil threw him a burning coal and he put it into a turnip to help him to keep it glowing. Soon he was known as Jack O ‘Lantern.
